Abstract

The author deals with certain trees of outstanding interest for the flora of northwest Argentina.

He completes the descriptions of Cochlospermum zahlbruckneri Ostermeyer, Pseudobombax argentinum (Fries) Robyns and Myrcianthes callicoma Mc Vaugh, adding figures.

The flowers of Escallonia millegrana Griseb. are described for the first time, with detailled drawings and a new combination, Tartagalia rosearum (Cuatr.) is proposed. Finally a new Tecoma is described under the name of fabrisi Meyer.
