Abstract

The author describes the vegetation of San Ambrosio Island (Chile) in the Pacific Ocean, between the Desventuradas Islands, based on collections and photographs by Mr. G. Lundborg. The collection, with 15 species in 47 specimens, is probably the largest in existence. Three species are new to the island and probably to science. The photos are the first taken on the island and give new light to the knowledge of the vegetation of the place. Dr. C. Skottsberg will publish a work on the systematics of the Lundborg collection, while the author describes the new species Plantago lundborgii in this work, also giving a new name to Atriplex foliolosum.
