Notes on a psammophylous flora of the dunes of Itapoan (Bahia)

Abstract

The author arrives at the following conclusions: Windward or maritime slope: camephytic type in some places, nanophanerophytic in some others with an apparently invading character in the latter. Leeward or terrestrial slope: microphanerophytic perennifolius type. On the top: struggle of both types with advantage of the phanerophytic type.
