On the presence of Echinolaena minarum (Nees) Pilger in Argentina

More than thirty years ago, Pilger (1931) reported the combination Echinolaena minarum (Nees) Pilger based on Ichnanthus minarum (Nees) Doell. Nevertheless, the older name of the species has so far continued to be generally accepted by later authors.
Recent investigations however conducted by Rogers (1971) and the author support Pilger?s
