Abstract

This paper deals with the foliar histology of the species and varieties that form the genus Aegopogon. The results of this study prove that its structure is of the ?chloridoid type? and that it is possible to classify them using only anatomic characters. A detailed morphological description is presented together with the geographic distribution of Aegopogon bryophilus Doell, which is the only representative of this genus in our country.
