Vicia parviflora (Fabaceae, Faboideae), nueva cita para la flora argentina

Vicia is a genus of Fabace- ae, Faboideae with an estimated number of 180 to 210 species from tropical and temperate regions of the World. About 38 species grow in South America, 20 of them were cited for Argentina, while 2 of them inhabits the Northwestern area of the country. In this work, the presence of Vicia parviflora is reported for the first time for the Argentina, on the basis of an specimen recently gathered in El Mollar (Dept. Tafí del Valle,Tucumán), on a hillside on the edge of the Provincial Route 307, in front of the zone of former Park of the Menhirs, and other materials from Catamarca and Salta provinces, housed in local herbaria. Vicia parviflora is morphologically described and illustrated, a distribution map and a key to differentiate the species of northwestern Argentina are also presented.
