Abstract

Tadpole of Rhinoderma darwinii D. & B. (Anura: Rhinodermatidae)?. Available descriptions of Rhinoderma darwinii tadpoles are not reliable (except for those by Jorquera et. al., 1972, and Formas et al., 1975) because until 1975 two taxa (Rhinoderma darwinii and R. rufum), with different developmental patterns and anatomical differences at larval level, were confused under the first name. A morphological and chondrological analysis of R . darwinii tadpoles was considered of interest.
