Synonymical notes on Anotiobiella withycombei Kimmins, 1929 (Neuroptera, Hemerobiidae)

Abstract

?Synonymical notes on Anotiobiella withycombei Kimmins, 1929 (Neuroptera, Hemerobiidae)?. In 1929 Kimmins erected the genus Anotiobiella with a single species: Anotiobiella withycombei. This genus was established on the basis of winged characters only, rather ambiguous. The examination of three specimens of A. withycombei belonging to the IFML collection shows that their basic characteristics do not differ from those of the species of Hemerobius L., therefore Anotiobiella must be consider as a synonym of Hemerobius L.

Hemerobius withycombei (Kimmins, 1929) is redescribed and genital male structures illustrated.
