Abstract

The results of the inventory of the Didelphimorphia of Reserva Natural Laguna Blanca, San Pedro Depar tment, Paraguay, are presented. Six species are recorded as present and ecological and morphometric data are provided. Significant new range extensions of Marmosa (Micoureus) constantiae Thomas, 1904 and Monodelphis kunsi Pine, 1975 are detailed, since both species were recently documented in Paraguay and are known from very few specimens. The urgent need for further inventory work in Paraguay is discussed.
