Abstract

We address for the first time the problem caused by the attack and death of snakes, caused by dogs, chickens and domestic cats in Honduras by presenting new records of this interaction. The events occurred through opportunistic encounters between 2020 and 2023. We recorded the predation of 14 native species of snakes, in different locations in the Honduran region. We suggest that measures be implemented to control the feline population, especially in protected areas.
