Worldwide, the genus Euryopis has 80 species, its distribution is known to be cosmopolitan, but in North America its distribution limits are unknown. In the present work, Euryopis scriptipes is recorded for the first time for the state of Hidalgo, Mexico, in addition to providing data on its current distribution in North America. This new record expands the distribution of E. scriptipes in this biogeographical region.
