Metric characters and taxonomic affinities in larvae of Odontophrynus

Abstract

Series of measurements obtained from larvae of Odontophrynus occidentalis of the same lot and size from the populations of the Hills of San Luis and the South of Mendoza, the Odontophrynus americanus and the Telmatobius hauthali (the latter as element of comparison taxonomically distant), permit proving the striking affinity between the larval characteristics of both populations of occidentalis and the increase of parametric variation between them and the americanus and much more with respect to the Telmatobius hauthali.
