Histophysiology of the epithelium of the body wall of Pheretima californica Kinberg

Abstract

The authors studied the histological structure and the reactivity with several drugs and stains of the carbohydrates and different secretions of the epithelium of the body wall of Pheretima californica Kinberg. Various methods were used to investigate mucopolysaecharides of the cells. The morphological structure and the cytoplasmatie configuration of the clitellar zone are described.
