A new species of Zethus F. from Bolivia with biological notes

Abstract

Zethus fabricator is described from a pair of specimensreared from a nest collected in Bolivia. This species belong to the Z. heydeni group of the nominate subgenus and is of evolutionary interest, since this is the first known species of the subgenus that constructs its own nest from vegetative material. The species is included in a reworked key to species of the Z. heydeni group.
