Notes on the genus Meristhus Cand. (Col. Elateridae)

It is proven that Elater lepidotus Pal. de Beauv. 1805, and not Meristhus scobinula Cand. 1857, is the type of the genus Meristhus Cand. For this reason, some nomenclature changes have to be made. In addition, some printing errors in the original description of the genus Rismethus Fleut. made aware.
