The author refers to his observations made on the so called Argentine duck (pato argentino) Anas versicolor versicolor kept in semicaptivity in the Zoological Garden in Buenos Aires, He deals with nesting activities, the nest, laying, incubation, hatching, etc., with descriptions of the egg and young, with measurements. Photographs of the nest and eggs are added.
