Notes on the genus Tetragoneura Winnertz, 1846 (Diptera, Mycetophilidae)

Abstract

With specimens of the Miguel Lillo Institute (Tucuman, Argentina) and of his own collection, the author includes 23 species of Neotropical Tetragoneura of which 7 are new; at the same time, drawings of male genitalia are completed or offered for the first time. More details are also added to descriptions and new localities for species already known are given, thus enlarging their area of distribution, The new species are: T. correntina, golbachi, lanei, paraardeiceps, rara, stangei and willinki.
