Lilloa is a biannual scientific journal of the Fundación Miguel Lillo, with an online version in June and December; and a printed one that consists of an annual volume in two semester fascicles. The journal, which began to be published in 1937, aims to disseminate original scientific works and not presented simultaneously to another journal, on botany, mycology and fiction; including ecological, anatomical, physiological, cytological, genetic, palynological, phytogeographic, paleobotanical and applied botany issues. It is aimed at researchers, professionals and students of biological sciences and related disciplines. The journal publishes works in Spanish, English and Portuguese with summaries in two languages. The manuscripts are evaluated by reviewers external to the institution, under the format of "double blind". Lilloa provides open access to all its content and no publication costs for the authors.
