Abstract

?Climate and high mountain geocryogenic environment in Cajón del Rubio, Cordillera Principal, Mendoza?. The analysis of 3 years to meteorological data from Cajón del Rubio (4200 m.a.s.l.) Cordillera Principal, Mendoza, Argentina, compared with 30 years of observation in Cristo Redentor and Puente del Inca allowed to estimated mean annual temperatures ?4° and the total precipitation in about 600 mm/year. This climatic conditions and geoforms association (rock glaciers, gelifluction, patterned group and talus) define areas affected by high mountain permafrost.
