Abstract

?The ?Pozo del Macho? Formation, unit of the metamorphic basement complex from Sierra de Ambargasta, province of Santiago del Estero?. This unit consist of quarz-biotite schists outcropping in the vecinity of Ojo de Agua. The age of these schists is undoubtedly older than the one of the tonalitic body in which they are included. Some analytical data (K-Ar method) are also given.
