Abstract

Contribution to the Paleontology of the Argentine Ordovician. 1. Merlinia farouxi n. sp. (Trilobita, Asaphidae) from Azul Pampa, Jujuy province?. In this paper the new asaphid Merlinia farouxi nov. sp. is described. This fossil has been identified from the outcrops of the Azul Pampa Formation in Cuesta de Azul Pampa, near Iturbe locality, Jujuy province, Argentina. The relations of M. farouxi with other species of Merlinia are discussed.
