?The manganic deposits of Puerta Quemada and Río Nío, Burruyacu dep., Tucumán prov., Argentina?. These deposits are syngenetic sediments, comprising diamictites and sandstone. The sandstone-diamictite sequence were deposited in a fluvial coast environment, with slow deposition, forming manganic concretions in a warm and humid climate. The schists or igneous rocks resulting from the outskirts of the cretacic basin are presumably the source of the manganic formations, wich precipitated as concretions or scattered in the sediments. The irregular distribution of the mineralization, and high drawing costs render uncoveyable its exploitation at the moment.
