Abstract

Genera of Bryophyta from the surroundings of Buenos Aires (Morphologic and systematic contribution)?. The author considers three chapters: in the first one he makes a brief historical summary of the study of this sub-division in Argentina, and then describes the principal generalities. In the second chapter he informs about Hepaticae, making first the morphological description based upon the species from the surroundings of Buenos Aires and then the systematic description of each genus and family with their respective keys, etymology, number of Argentine species and of the surroundings, geographical distribution and ecologycal data. In the third chapter, he studies Musci in the same way he did for Hepaticae. He points out, for the surroundings, 38 families with 60 genera and 110 species, being 13 families with 23 genera new for the locality; some of the latter are also new for Argentina
