On the identity of the Genus Astrephia Dufr. with Valeriana L. (Valerianaceae)

Abstract

The synonymy of Astrephia Dufr. with Valeriana L. is ratified in this work. The characters that served to establish erroneously two genus are proved in Valeriana obtusifolia DC., Valeriana bridgesii Hook. et Arn. on the same individual.
