The author establishes the validity of Burret in Notizbl. d. bot. Gartens Berlin XV (1941), 479-550, and from Luma Asa Gray, who returned to synonymize the genus Myrceugenia Berg, gives the equivalents of the Chilean species of Luma cited by Burret and provides Nothomyrcia gen. Nov. and various combinations as new taxonomic units.
