Abstract

In this paper, the author makes some synonymic notes on several taxa of Ipomoea and Merremia. The author publishes as new the genus Tetralocularia and the following species: Tetralocularia pennellit, Ipomoea peredot, I. ramboi, I, tarijensis and Bonamia holtii. He makes the new combinations: Aniseia martinicensis (Jacq.) Choisy var. nitens (Choisy) (= Aniseia nitens Choisy), Operculina alata (Ham, Urban var. pubescens (Pilger) (= O. pterodes (Choisy) Meissn. f. pubescens Pilger), Porana nutans (Choisy) (= Ipomoea nutans Choisy) and Turbina rudolphii (Roem, et Schult.) (= Ipomoea rudolphit Roem. et Schult.).
