Some agroecosystems can conserve the original natural biodiversity and can be reservoirs of it. The Province of Tucumán has a great variety of water resources and native forests that favor the balance between natural enviroment and the different agricultural ecosystems. In order to achieve an adequate management strategy in these ecosystems, it is essential to know of birds that inhabit and visit them, their biology and their ecology. The aim of this paper was to generate an inventory of the avifauna recorded in various agricultural and livestock systems in the province. Nine areas were selected where ornithological surveys were carried out from 1998 to the present. The recorded birds were systematically listed with their scientific and common names in Spanish, English and Portuguese, their distribution and habitat, population status at global and national level, as well as the location, type of crop or livestock breeding, the season of the year in which they were observed and its behavior. Data on migrations or movements of each species was also registered. This work includes a list of 205 species, with the soybean and wheat farm being the site with the highest number of records and the plots with pine plantations, the lowest number. Three Near Threatened and four Vulnerable species were record- ed (IUCN, 2023), three Endangered and three Vulnerable species (MayDS 2017), two endemic species for Argentina, and two species in CITES I. The edge environments between the cultivated plots function as potential habitats, sources of food resources, refuge, and corridors for local fauna and migratory species. The implementation of these multistrata live fences or corridors would be appropriate to host and maintain a greater diversity of birds in the environment.
