Abstract

Geology of the Los Cerrillos, department Guasayan, province of Santiago del Estero?. The geologic column of Los Cerrillos, based on radimetric data and the stratigraphic observations is formed by Las Lomitas Formation with acid vulcanites of Carboniferous-Permian age; Los Cerrillos Formation made up of reddish sandstones and dark lutites from the Middle-Upper Permian; Ichagon Formation with basalts from the Triassic-Jurassic; Río Salí Formation with dark and greenish arcilites and some gypsum from the Miocene; and La Represa with Formation a restricted outcrop of andesites belonging to the Upper Miocene.
