Abstract

The Hombre Muerto Saline Deposit?. It constitues one of the most interesting salty environment of the Argentine Puna, not only tor its size, but also due to its particular geologic conditions specialy by the petrology and structures atecting the region. The different lithologic entities which provide the salteny for the saline deposit in both sides of the Farallón Catal, associated to a different hydrologic behaviour, let us suppose an uneven characterization in its salty composition, at least in some of its components. The analytic results and the physicochemical interpretation corroborate the geologic assumption and show once more the importance of the interdisciplinary work.
